About Us

Tommie Simon moved to Lawton, Oklahoma in 2018 to open a medical practice where he provides Rheumatologic care to the Lawton-Ft Sill community and surrounding areas. 

His original office windows overlooked a local bison producer's herd and he eventually fell in love with the thought of one day raising them himself. Having no background in raising livestock, he purchased animals in 2019 and established Cherukara Bison Ranch, named after his family in India.

Three years later in 2022 with a healthy, growing herd, he decided to start processing animals off the ranch to provide a healthier meat option to the community. Texoma Bison Company was established and aims to provide high quality bison meat to the Southwest Oklahoma area. 

Tommie is married to Liz, who also works as a physician assistant in his practice and is a dog dad to Tucker, their English bulldog.
